STEUBENVILLE, OH - The Aim Women's Center in Steubenville is making parenting education more accessible by moving its classes online. The new digital option allows mothers to participate from home and earn points toward essential baby supplies.
Previously, the center offered in-person sessions only, which could be challenging for women with limited transportation, busy schedules, or young children. By shifting to an online format, the organization removes those barriers. Participants can now watch instructional videos and complete quizzes at their own pace. Each completed module earns points that can be redeemed for items like diapers, formula, and clothing.
The program covers a range of topics, including newborn care, breastfeeding, and child development. Staff at the center say the goal is to support mothers throughout pregnancy and early parenthood, not just during a single visit. The online expansion also allows the center to reach women in surrounding rural areas who may not have easy access to the physical location.
Aim Women's Center has served the Steubenville community for years, offering free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and counseling. The addition of virtual parenting classes represents a shift toward meeting clients where they are, both geographically and logistically. Organizers hope the increased flexibility will encourage more mothers to take advantage of the resources available to them.
